The quote I chose this week is by Aristotle Onassis.
I chose this quote because this year has been super hard for me and I am constantly having to remind myself to focus on the good things that are happening. There are days when I do a great job of looking at all the good things that are going in my life. Then there are other days when I have a really hard time seeing any of the good things in my life. I have been struggling lately with not feeling well and has made me sad and depressed but I am working through it and I know things will calm down and I will be okay in a month or so.

The quote I chose for this week is by Tony Gaskins.

I chose this quote because I feel like people get too wrapped up in what other people think and say about them. I used to care about what other people thought of me, but over the past few years, I have gotten to the point where I like to know what people think of me, but I no longer allow any of it to affect me. I don’t let myself stress or worry about things that I can’t change because I have enough of my own problems that I need to worry about and focus on. Those are just a few of my thoughts on this quote.

This week I chose a quote by Jim Rohn. I have used several quotes by him over the years, and this one might be one of my favorites from him. Let’s get into what I think about it below it.

I loved this quote because it reminds me that I need to focus on the present to be happy. I find that we all can get stuck just focusing on the future and we all forget that you need to be present and enjoying your life as things happen. This quote reminds me of watching my nephew grow up and I often had to tell my brother not to wish away the time you get with them when they are little and as they grow up. It is amazing how he changes from day to day, and I know that people in his life don’t spend the time playing with him and watching him change. Those are just a few of my thoughts on this quote. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

The quote I chose for this week is by Dr. Steve Maraboli.

I chose this quote because like most of the quotes from this past month I am working on staying positive and not letting negative people affect me. I work in the construction field and more times than not customers come in pissed off or call pissed off, and it always has rubbed off on me. I have actually been making an effort to not let other people make me upset when I am at work. I have though gotten to the point at work where I don’t really care is someone doesn’t like me because of one reason or another. I just reached the point in life where I am happy with who I am so why I should stress because someone I work with doesn’t like me? If they have a valid reason, then I have no problem listening to what they are saying and trying to make a change, but most times I just ignore people because no one will come up and talk to me about it. Those are just a few of the thoughts I have about this quote.

This week’s quote is by Joel Osteen.

I love this quote because I try and focus on the good because I tend to find myself getting stuck in a negative mindset and that isn’t how I want to live my life. I have spent the last few years working on being more positive in my life and I finally feel like I am getting the hang of it and this quote is just a great reminder to focus on the present and not worry about the future.

This week’s quote is by Alice Walker.

I really love this quote because I have had several friends who didn’t want to be around me because of the person I was becoming at the time. I have changed quite a bit over the past ten years and there are people who haven’t changed at all in all of those years. Most of them have stopped talk to me which made it easy to just move on. I still do think about some of them and wonder what they are up too but I know it is for the best.

This week’s quote is by Benjamin Franklin.

I love this quote because I think most people in this world are beyond stupid and they have no desire to change that fact. I bought a hoodie a few months ago that says “Don’t be stupid, stupid” and I wear it all the time because people I work with are total idiots. I love watching when people they finally read what my hoodie says because they always walk away with a smile on their faces. Those are just a few of my thoughts about this quote.
